Our Volunteers

The Leura Gardens Festival is an event involving people from the Upper Blue Mountains and beyond. During the 6 days of the Festival, around 400 volunteers will sit at garden gates, checking and selling entry tickets. Others will be assisting at the Headquarters, at the Ticket Sales/Information stand near Leura Station and at Plant Sales.

Every Festival garden has a gate crew, minding the gate, issuing brochures, giving information, and generally making visitors welcome.

Festival Committee

In addition, each year the Festival is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers.
To run the 2021-2022 Festival, Brooke Broughton was re-elected as the President and David White as the Vice President. Wendy Shedden was appointed as Secretary and Yung Kim as Treasurer. Other elected committee members are Glenn Anderson, Sue Harris, Leone Hurley, Susan Lenehan, Peter McGrath, Brigitte Moseley, Celeste Shadie and Paul Sullivan. In addition, the Committee is supported by Malcolm Nicholson who runs the Mall Ticket Office and Ben Parker who organises the Festival Bus.
