In the Beautiful Blue Mountains

Festival 2023

Friday 29 Sept - Monday 2 Oct

Hello friends of the Leura Gardens Festival

Festival organisers are very excited to announce the opening of a very special garden for one day only this Autumn.

Many of you would have visited the magnificent “The Braes” garden during last year’s Spring Festival. As a very special one off Autumn treat, the owners of The Braes, John and Margot Egan, have offered to open for one day to help raise funds for the Blue Mountains District Anzac Memorial Hospital and Greystanes Disability Services in Leura.

Boasting over 200 varieties of trees, shrubs and perennials on over 20,500 square metres of restored Sorensen heritage gardens, The Braes is truly spectacular. The Autumn colour of this cold climate garden is breathtaking and so worth coming to see.

The Braes (64-68 Grose St Leura) will be open on Sunday 14 April 2024 from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

The entry fee is $15 for adults and children under 16 are free of charge. There is no pensioner discount available.

Admission is payable on entry on the day via cash or card. There is no online ticket purchasing available for this event. Please also note there are no toilet facilities inside this garden.

The Leura Gardens Festival committee, along with the generous owners John and Margot, look forward to warmly welcoming you to this inaugural and very special Autumn opening.

We are also delighted to let you know that musicians will be performing in the garden as follows:

10.30am - 11.30am The Heathens Choir of Blackheath

12noon - 1pm The Wombats Crossing Trio

1.30pm - 2.30pm The Fortunate Quartet

3pm - 4pm  Musical Duo - Jason Thornton and Tim Cunningham
